Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Clarity Companion (Claire) is a daily companion for older adults and the families who love them. This policy explains what we store, who can see it, how long we keep it, and how you can pause or delete it. We never collect more than we need to bring you warm conversation, cherished memories, gentle reminders, and family connection.

What we store

Who can see it

How long we keep it

We keep your memories and your reminders for as long as you use Clarity Companion. We keep a short, non-sensitive record of reminder and connection deliveries for about 12 months for support and reliability. Consent choices are kept as an immutable history so we can show you what you decided. When you delete your account (see below), we pause everything immediately and ask our service partners to delete the data they hold for you within a reasonable time, except where we must keep a record for a legal or safety reason.

Pause or withdraw (you are in control)

Open the app, go to Settings → Your privacy, and pause any scope. Pausing stops Claire from collecting or sharing under that scope going forward. You can also withdraw consent for any sharing scope at any time. Your choices are the durable boundary — no one in your family can override your active consent unless a documented legally authorized representative pathway applies.

Export or delete your data

You can download a copy of everything we hold for you (Settings → Export your data, or your family caregiver can do the same from the web app). You can delete your account and ask us to delete your data (Settings → Delete your account, or see the public deletion page if you have lost device access). Deleting pauses everything immediately; we then delete your data within the timeline above.

Not a monitored emergency service

Clarity Companion is not a monitored emergency service, a medical device, or a clinician. Claire does not detect, diagnose, or treat any condition. If you are in an emergency, call your local emergency number. If you have concerns about your memory or your health, please discuss them with a qualified health professional.
